Here's your chance to get me to write something just for you...either a personal B/J fic or a Libertines delight or god help me, I'll even write you Harry Potter...
But you have to bid. Heck, if you're interested, maybe this could just turn into "finish Celebreality, Rhys!" for a good cause of course.

I went to see 'Wicked' today and loved every minute of it. It was not the best show that I have ever seen but it definitely was worth seeing. Driving home though - that's another story...

A while back I posted about Cate Blanchett and her performance in 'A streetcar named Desire." I consider it one of the best plays I have ever seen. I read in the paper today that it opens at Kennedy Centre in Washington tomorrow night - Australian time. Next month it heads to the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York. I'm mentioning this because some people asked me if I thought the play would travel and I am happy to report YES!
I don't know if the play has received much publicity in the States but, if you are in the area, it would be worthwhile checking out. Cate is wonderful and Joel Edgerton is not only her equal but great eye candy as well. (How's that for a sexist remark?)
By the way, I have no affiliation with either Cate or the STC. I just thought that you would like to know. |

I've had a wonderful 2 weeks holiday but it is now almost time to face reality. Fortunately, I only go back to work for roughly 7 weeks and then I will have another 7 weeks off.

As a subscriber to the Sydney Theatre Company I've just received next year's program and there is one play I know I will be attending. In November 2010 John Bell, Cate Blanchett, Richard Roxburgh and Hugo Weaving will be appearing in Uncle Vanya by Chekhov. Subscribers get offered the tickets first and I will have my hand up. This is one not to be missed and I am excited already. |
